Indoor Air Quality

The air inside your house can be dirtier than the air outside it. A 1-inch filter from the hardware store isn't enough, but most homes don't need a $5,000 "clean air" package either. We help you figure out what's actually worth doing.

What we install

• 5-inch media filters (MERV 11-16) replacing the 1-inch standard filter
• UV germicidal lamps inside the air handler (kills mold + bacteria on the coil)
• Whole-home humidifiers (bypass + steam) for dry winter air
• Whole-home dehumidifiers for humid summers and basement systems
• HRV / ERV ventilators for tight, well-insulated homes that need fresh air

When to look at IAQ

• Someone in the house has allergies, asthma, or recent respiratory issues
• You can smell cooking or pet odors across rooms
• Static shocks, dry skin, or cracked woodwork in winter
• Visible dust accumulation within days of cleaning
• You renovated and the house feels stuffier than before

How we approach it

1. Listen first. What symptoms are you seeing? Allergies, dust, humidity, odors: different problems, different solutions.
2. Test if needed. Humidity readings, sometimes particulate testing.
3. Right-size the fix. Some homes need a media filter and that's it. Some need filter + UV + humidifier. We won't oversell.
